New Year’s Productivity Starts In Your Apartment

New year, new you! Right? So let’s talk about how to get productive where it all begins- your apartment.

Set Your Alarm Clock

The early bird gets the worm, as they say. As much fun as it is to stay up late and sleep in, it’s almost unanimously proven that early risers perform higher than night owls. By getting up early your brain is able to fully “wake up” before work/school. People who wake up early are usually linked with being more positive throughout the day and being better problem solvers.

Make Your Bed

I’ve always heard this task is the secret to success, and I finally found out why. By making your bed, you have completed a small task. That’s a victory! And by having that victory, however small, under your belt so early on, you are able to be more confident when approaching new tasks throughout your day.

Create A Vision Board On Your Wall

As silly as it may seem, having a small (or large) vision board allows you to physically see your goals and inspirations when you wake up. Add images or quotes of things that light a fire in you. Draw inspiration from your style, career, financial and personal goals.

Put Your Focus In Your Kitchen

Making meals is one of the best ways to create a more productive lifestyle. Cooking your meals not only saves money, but also is a great way to be more conscious about what you’re eating. Even if you have a hectic schedule, use pre-made or prepped meals when cooking.

Wipe Down Your Surfaces

Everyday or every few days take some time to wipe down your surfaces. This is a great way to get rid of bad odors as well as disinfect your apartment. It also will decrease your chances of getting sick which will keep you feeling healthy this new year.
