I don’t know about you, but one of the most exciting things about moving into a new apartment is the decorating! Maybe this your first apartment and you’re going for a whole new look. Perhaps it’s your 3rd or 4th apartment and you only want to make a few small changes to stay within your budget. While some of the big box stores have great decorations, they might not have those key pieces that reflect your specific style in your apartment. For me, I always like to match my style of apartment decor with my taste in clothing, so that my space feels like a reflection of me and my personality. Luckily, I found out that a few of my favorite places for clothing also sell decorations for apartments! Check the list below to view my favorite places and learn more!
My favorite place for pretty much all things affordable, H&M launched a home section on their online website, where you can purchase everything from towels to table clothes and throw pillows! I can count on H&M home for styles that change with each new season, as well as for cute holiday decorations!
With Zara always being chic, relatively affordable and on trend, you can guess that their online store for apartment decorations also lives up to the store’s reputation. Check out Zara home for bathroom fixtures, linens, bathroom accessories and even furniture!
Anthropologie’s home section may not be so much of a secret, but it is also a great place to get chic kitchen additions, furniture and bedding. Too pricy? Don’t be afraid to check out the sale section, that is where I find some of my favorite finds!
For all things boho and on trend, check out Urban Outfitters for apartment decorations. They have everything from trendy kitchen gadgets, bedding, rugs and living room furniture! They also have a nice selection of vinyl and record players, tech items for home, and even pots for plants!
If you’re looking for decorations with more of a vintage feel, Modcloth is a great place to check out! While they are most known for having vintage clothing (think mary-janes, fifties style skirts and flared 70s style pants), they also have home decorations ranging from kitchen essentials, wall art, and items to help you organize your stuff! They also have great home-related gifts for friends if they happen to host a housewarming party.
Good luck with finding your specific style for your apartment!
