There’s Still Time to Score Black Friday Online Deals for Your Apartment

Dear Disgruntled Black Friday Shopper,

Did you go to the mall and come home empty-handed?  The day is still young and we have a few online deals to share with you!

Macy’s: This retail giant is basically giving its goods away. Use code TURKEY to get 10-15% off plus free shipping, beyond the already low sale prices they’re promoting. For example, I have my eye on this Queen size mattress pad, reduced from $50 to $19, BEFORE the extra codes! Their Charter Club Bath Towels are $9.99, cut from over $20. No matter what you need for your apartment, start here.

West Elm: If you’re looking to spend a touch more, West Elm is offering serious discounts dependent on how much you buy.  If you spend $100, you’ll get a crisp 10% off – where if you spend $1,000 – you’ll be looking at 25% savings. Not too shabby!

CB2: Crate & Barrel’s saver store is offering a sweet 15% off until Monday. Use code Save15 and thank us later! While they have all sorts of practical items, we are currently loving their Oliver Pomegranate Martini Glasses for $3.95

IKEA: While IKEA doesn’t have percentage offers, the store is offering solid deals on a variety of items. Get a 7-piece set of pots for $19.99 on Friday (reduced from 49.99) and a side table for $4.99. Now that, friends, is a DEAL.

Target: Target is offering up to 30% across furniture on Friday. I’m a fan of this Avington Nightstand that looks chic far beyond its $112 price tag (reduced from $150). While the percent off doesn’t match Macy’s, you won’t be disappointed. Target’s original low prices plus savings can’t be beat!

If you do dare to brave the stores, try the ShopKick and Black Friday Apps to help you save even more. Macy’s app will send you deals each 5 minutes you stay in the store! For more great Black Friday app info, check out this NYTimes article full of great strategy.

I've lived in apartments in 6 cities (including 2 foreign countries). Does that make me an expert? As of now, my ceiling isn't leaking and I don't have rodents (knock on wood) -- so I'm going to say yes . . . but ask me again tomorrow:) These days, I'm enjoying life Chicago style, but my years in Brooklyn are never far from my mind. P.S. By day I work at Cars.com, but these opinions are totally, 100% my own.
