Welcome To My First Apartment’s New Online Home!

Buenvenidos Amigos!

As you can see, My First Apartment has  moved on up to a snazzy new design! We’ve cleaned out all our old webby cobwebs, scrubbed under the sink, and managed to come out the other side with a brand new site that should make life easier for, well, you!

Through the years, we’ve amassed quite a few tips from quite a few people but in our old design, they were a touch hard to find.  No longer.

Now, as you can see, we have 5 main categories of info including: The Hunt, Moving In, Apt. Living, Roommates, and Money. We also have bunch of handy checklists that show up when you click any category plus some uncategorized random posts that didn’t seem to fit under any of the other headings. Depending on what your needs are, feel free to settle down with one section or flit around.  Imagine that the sections are like different sections of a newspaper — all about First Apartment Living.

To celebrate our new design, we’ll be planning some special events coming up (including a contest perhaps!) so stay tuned. Also, if you have any suggestions or questions, as always feel free to contact us at [email protected].

Thanks again for being here with us as we uncork our new site! Virtual champagne toast!

PS. We are still doing some last minute housekeeping on the new site, fixing broken links and such, but wanted to  get it up sooner rather than later, as the spring first apartment season is heating up.

I've lived in apartments in 6 cities (including 2 foreign countries). Does that make me an expert? As of now, my ceiling isn't leaking and I don't have rodents (knock on wood) -- so I'm going to say yes . . . but ask me again tomorrow:) These days, I'm enjoying life Chicago style, but my years in Brooklyn are never far from my mind. P.S. By day I work at Cars.com, but these opinions are totally, 100% my own.
