The Coolest Apartment
Laura wouldn’t have mentioned this, but I found the coolest apartment in the world. She won’t consider it, but I think we should.
It’s this loft type apartment downtown on the twelfth floor of this huge building. It’s about as post-modern as you could possibly want, with huge windows, black and white decor and even a jacuzzi bathtub. Of course, it’s $1500 per month, but I figure we can subsist on bread and water to live in the apartment of my dreams….
Anyway, not gonna happen. So onward. I don’t think Laura really wants to move anyway until her Mother is 100% better, which I understand. I guess I wouldn’t feel great about that, either. There are a few apartments in Spring where we can put a deposit down and not move for a few months, which would be idea. I just don’t want to get into the idea of moving so far away from downtown Houston. I know Laura prefers smaller towns, but I like the activity in big cities.
There is one apartment in Spring that has its own pond, however, which would certainly sway my decision. I love to fish, and they say that they keep it stocked with bass, so maybe that’s where we should live. Since I don’t work a 9-5 schedule, I could go fishing whenever I wanted, and not have to drive all the way to Conroe for a good hit. We’ll see…
